Questionnaire in your inbox

Do you have questions about the new building? On April 20 you received an email containing a link that you can use – several times, if need be – to put questions to the housing team about the new building. Right after holidays in May a new Q&A document will be published on Internal Affairs, containing the questions posed during the gym presentation on April 9, as well as questions that have been submitted digitally up to April 29, with, of course, the answers. This document will be added to later with questions that arrive after April 29.

Decision-making: May 13 and 28

Now that the final design is finalized, we can move forwards in the decision-making process. We are now on the way towards preparing the final decision on the construction of the new building. The advisory board (MR in dutch) plays an important role in this. The MR will meet a number of times to discuss this issue. These meetings are open to the public and will take place on:

Wednesday, May 13

Final Design

The Final Design has been completed and is currently being presented in and around the Rietveld building. In the entrance hall you can find an installation with material samples, floor plans, photographs of the future interior and a model of the building. Outside, in and around the area where the new building will be built, you can find nine billboards which show the future view from that point, made with the help of model photos.

Furthermore a presentation took place on Thursday April 9th in the gym, where after the opening speech by Annelies van Eenennaam, the final design was presented by architect Paulien Bremmer. This was followed by a presentation about the cultural history of the Rietveld building by Paul Meurs (Bureau SteenhuisMeurs). At the end of the presentation there was time for questions from the audience. These questions and their answers will be published on Internal Affairs after holidays in May, as mentioned earlier.
